The classic case is a house sale where the dates do not quite meet — you must be out of one place before you can get into the next. Rather than camping among boxes, your whole home goes into store and comes out when the keys change hands.
It earns its keep during renovations, downsizing, and estate clearances where the family wants to keep some things but has nowhere yet to put them. And for European moves it is often essential — when the UK collection and the shipping slot to France, Spain, Italy or Portugal do not align, we hold your goods here and send them on the next run.
