Removals from the UK to Spain

A long road south — down through France and over the border to the costas, the cities and the islands.

The route

Why this move
from the UK.

Spain is the destination we are asked about most, and it is a proper road journey: across the Channel, down the length of France, and over the border at La Jonquera onto the AP-7 that hugs the Mediterranean. From there it is a run to the Costa Brava, down past Valencia to the Costa Blanca, or west towards Málaga and the Costa del Sol.

The reasons are familiar — sun, space, and a change of pace. We move families to the Costa Blanca, downsizers to villages inland from the coast, and younger households to apartments in Barcelona and Madrid. A whole home travels as a dedicated load; smaller moves go as a shared part-load consolidated with others bound for Spain.

For the Balearics we handle the mainland leg and the ferry crossing as a single job, so you are never left arranging the boat yourself.

Where we deliver

Across Spain.

Costa Blanca

Alicante, Torrevieja, Jávea and the inland villages — our most-requested Spanish stretch.

Costa del Sol

Málaga, Marbella, Estepona and the towns along the southern coast.

Barcelona & Catalonia

City apartments and the Costa Brava towns to the north.

Valencia & the east

The city and the huerta around it, on the coast road south.

Madrid & the centre

The capital and the commuter towns — an inland haul off the coastal route.

The Balearics

Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza — mainland road leg plus the ferry, arranged as one.

Customs, handled

No “sort it
at the border.”

Spain is outside the customs union now, so your belongings cross as a formal consignment. If you are becoming resident you may qualify for relief on the duty and tax for used household goods, which needs the right supporting documents and a properly valued inventory. We walk you through what Spanish customs expects and prepare the paperwork before departure.

Worth thinking about

01

Residency paperwork and customs relief go together — start gathering documents early and we will tell you what customs wants to see.

02

Over that distance, a shared load on a fixed schedule is often the sensible choice for a flat-sized move.

03

Island moves add a ferry leg — flag the Balearics at survey so it is built into the plan.

UK to Spain — questions

Good to know.

How do removals from the UK to Spain travel?
By road the whole way — through the Eurotunnel or Dover, down France, across the border, and onto the Spanish coastal motorway. For the islands we add a ferry leg and manage it for you.
Can we move just part of the house?
Yes. Part-loads travel shared with other Spain-bound moves, which is usually the sensible option for a flat or a downsizing move. We will tell you honestly whether a shared or dedicated load suits.
Will we pay duty on used furniture?
If you are becoming resident you may qualify for relief on used household goods, depending on your circumstances and documents. We prepare the customs paperwork and tell you what evidence Spain looks for; we do not give tax advice beyond that.
Can you store our belongings before shipping to Spain?
Yes. If the Spanish property or your schedule is not ready, we can hold everything in the UK and ship on the next suitable run.
