Home moves

House removals, done with care.

The heart of the firm. We move family homes of every size across the UK — packing, protecting, carrying and rebuilding — so the day runs calmly and the new place feels like home by the evening.

What's included

A move handled,
not just a van.

A good house move is a hundred small things done right. It starts with a proper survey, so the quote reflects the real job and the crew and vehicle are the right size. On the day it means protecting the floors and doorways, wrapping the furniture, and loading in an order that makes the unload sensible — the beds first off, the kettle easy to find.

We take particular care with the things you cannot replace. Antiques, artwork, glass, a piano, the box of photographs — these get the wrapping, the crating and the attention they deserve, from people who have moved plenty of them. We dismantle what needs dismantling and rebuild it at the other end, so you are not spending your first night among flat-pack.

Because we work across the UK and run a European arm, a KJS house move can be local, national or a full relocation abroad — the same standard throughout. If the dates do not line up, our storage bridges the gap; and if you want the packing taken off your hands entirely, we can do the lot.

House removals — questions

Good to know.

Do you pack for us as part of a house removal?
We can pack the whole house, just the fragile and valuable items, or supply materials for you to pack yourself — whatever suits. We can also unpack at the other end and take the empty boxes away.
Will you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, wardrobes, flat-pack and the like are dismantled at the old home and rebuilt at the new one as part of the move, so you are not left with a bedroom full of parts.
Do you handle antiques, pianos and fragile items?
We do — with extra wrapping, purpose-made crating where needed, and crews who know how to carry the heavy and the delicate safely. Flag anything particularly valuable at survey stage so it is covered and planned for.
Can the same crew handle the whole move?
Wherever possible, yes. Continuity matters, so a consistent, directly employed crew who know your job from survey to settling-in is part of how we keep moves running smoothly.
